Hop On Board, Atlanta Streetcar Awareness Campaign

Summary:

With Atlanta’s new addition of the Atlanta Streetcar system we ask that you ‘Hop on Board’ to witness and experience the reconnection of Atlanta as a culturally diverse and unified city. Previously segregated by the interstate connector, Atlanta now retains the capability of providing safe, comfortable, and reliable transportation by means of a 2-mile loop on which the Atlanta Streetcar navigates, all while bridging the barrier between the East side and West side of downtown Atlanta and providing access to various major tourist destinations, universities, businesses, and neighborhoods. Hop on Board looks to raise awareness for the streetcar through three different media outlets. These include...

       •  Print - used to bring to attention the various sights and landmarks in which will be aimed at enticing the viewer to explore the city by means of the Atlanta Streetcar. Print can will include postcards, stickers, posters, a brochure, etc.

      •  Web - timetable layouts for phone and computer are created as a means of navigating and keeping track of the Atlanta Streetcar in a simple user friendly way. In addition to the timetables include the various social media outlets that are maintained under the branding of the Hop on Board campaign to update and inform viewers on news regarding the Atlanta Streetcar as well as to further push the awareness of the streetcar providing connectivity among an otherwise segregated city.

     •  Animation - geared towards creating excitement in exploring more easily accessible regions of the city which showcases the various attractions and businesses located around Atlanta. This animation includes segments that goes on for 30 seconds and a for 15 seconds

Audience:

The audience of the Hop on Board campaign spans, residents, tourists, downtown pedestrians, and commuters (students and professionals). Reached by the diversity of the buildings presented in an appealing way to show the Atlanta Streetcar’s various stops.

Tone/Manner:

Hop on Board hopes to provoke a yearning and explorative excitement in viewers, as a means of pointing out the diverse areas reachable from by the Atlanta Streetcar.
